The Big Rainbow Flag leads "APICHA"
Which was co-founded by my late friend "Glenn Izutsu"
at the very begging of AIDS Crisis in the 80s.
If you were not on 5th Avenue to see the "Gay Pride March" in New York, you missed a big chance to see how colorful gay people are in New York.
Maybe not just in New York for that matter.
They know how to dress up or dress down for the occasion, especially for their very special day. We did see many Feathers and Lamè, High Heels, Leather, and of course Flesh. I tend to take pictures of Brightly Colored Costumes or just Well-toned Muscles as you can see below.
When we heard loud music coming down with the March, people on side streets couldn't help to start dancing. Manhattan became one huge discothèque that afternoon ! That was such a Fun Afternoon.
This is the testament to "The Most Colorful Group of People you will see marching down or up the streets of Manhattan every year." Some say, so much more fun than Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade. I have to agree with that opinion.
They know how to thow a Fabulous Party!
Best Costume of the day by my vote.
