" getting ready for 2020 "

This is what Jonathan made for the front door for the New Year.
Regular year we put on the decoration made of Silk Chrimen which we got in Kyoto.
But year 2020 will be the year of Mouse in Japanese Zodiac, and Jonathan's sign.
So, it is auspicious for him to create something new for our home.
Here it is.....

" Holiday Basket / Crudite ala hiroki "

All vegetable from the markets were washed and Cut.
Some of them were branched very quickly.
Ready for getting into the basket.

The basket was lined with Purple Kales.

Purple Cabbage Cups were for
Japanese Turnips, Watermelon Radish, and Yellow Cauliflower.

Orange & Yellow Peppers were hallowed for 2 kinds of dipping sauces.

The basket was ready for filling up by vegetables.

Orange, Purple, and Yellow Carrots were cut lengthwise
to show pretty colors inside.
Turnips and Radishes were cut into bite-size triangle.

This was how the basket looked before it left here.
The only thing I had to do was filling Pepper-Cups with dipping sauces.
When I finished filled them,
guests started to arrive at friends home for the party.

It was a very lovely evening.

"Bags I made for the Holiday Market"

Tote Bag & Grocery Bag

Tote Bag & Grocery Bag

Weekend Bag & Kimono Bag

The Collection of Orange Stripe (Silk Wool Kimono & French Damask) Bags

A few people who couldn't make it to Brooklyn for the Holiday Market asked me if I can show what I made from Vintage Kimonos.
Surprisingly I had time to take photos of them before I started to pack.
As you can see I made 4 styles of bags.  Tote Bags, Grocery Bags, Weekend Bags, and Kimono-Bags ( which are almost cocktail bags that you can carry to the table in a restaurant.)
Hope these pictures gives you some idea what I created for this Holiday Season.

"SANTAS in a BAG"

I packed many of them as I could in a bag which I made in Vintage Fabrics.
I think they will make a perfect symbol for the market in Brooklyn.

"The Market in Brooklyn Height Started"

This is me getting a big cup of coffee, before the market is open.
Hope to have busy Fun Weekend in Brooklyn Height.
