" Tote Bags from YUKATA-JI or Textiles from Cotton Kimonos "

I've gotten 3 rolls of textiles for Cotton Kimonos at the end of Winter.
(1 roll of textile makes 1 Yukata or Summer-time Cotton Kimono.
This is how they make & sale Textile for Kimono. )
I waited until Spring to start making somethings from them.
Naturally I ended up with my go-to items, call "Grocery Bags"
At this time, I combined with 2 colors of Cotton Canvas at the bottom.
They are perfect size to carry to shops and markets.
You can carry them in your purse, until you need it.
They are 100% Cotton, fully lined, and washable.
Voila !

" Thierry Mugler show at Brooklyn Museum "

I finally had time to edit photos I took 2 weeks ago.
The show closed a few days after I visited the Brooklyn Museum.
Hope everybody had chance to see what Mugler created since 70s.
He was huge Fashion Star when I was still in Tokyo.
You could tell it's his design when you see his garments on the streets.
His works just stands out...
I don't think we have that kind of talent in the fashion world these days.
These are the his creation I just had to take photos of.

These 2 outfits were both worn by David Bowie.

Do you remember this bike-girl from George Michael's music video ?

This dress was my favorite in the exhibition.
This one had so many hidden techniques.

I enjoyed seeing many dresses and suit, but most of them are almost costume, not wearable pieces.
I remember Mugler created many Power Suits for Ladies & Men.
Remember George Michael and Barry Manilow were almost always wearing Mugler Suits.
So, I wish exhibition included some of Pret' A' Porter, not just Couture.
I also wanted to include his sketches.
Every single Dresses & Outfits all started with these sketches.

Before we exited the show,
we stopped to watch some footages from his runway shows.
That reminded me lots of hours of my fashion study days....
