"After the Parade"

This past Saturday was St. Patrick's Day,  New York City has the parade on 5th Avenue every year.  This year's St. Patrick's Day was a very cold day.  Even snow was coming down.
I have never ever seen that parade.  I just never find a good reason to go uptown to see it.  Come to think of it, St. Patrick's Day is always a cold day.  I just don't want to stay out, even if you could see many men in skirts....
Matisse's retrospective show at the MET was closing last weekend, Jonathan & I decided to go to uptown.  When we came out of the museum after a few hours, the snow had stopped and 5th avenue was still closed.  We had to get to the east side subway to get downtown.
Even though our intension to go uptown was not celebrate St. Patrick's Day, we couldn't ignore so many men with skirts who were on the street.   They seemed to having good time even if that was a very wet cold day.
There is something about men in pleated skirts with matching high socks that makes me think, is this going to be a part of fashion somehow?
And fashion reports from Europe are including men's skirts for the past few seasons.  After all Irish  Men were wearing them proudly for long time, so why not the rest of the men of the world....

Many people came to join the parade on chartered Buses.
Of course not just a regular Bus.  Had to have a special logo with it.

St. Patrick's Day ended with the Empire State Building lit with Green Lights.
