A great costume designer of Italian cinema Tosi, 92 died Saturday in Rome, where the exhibition which were presented some of the many outfits that he created for many masterpieces of the 7th art.
There are obviously the films for which he brought his talent to Luchino Visconti who are in our memories: one remembers Claudia Cardinale's prom dress in "The Leopard," Bjorn Anderson's striped bathing suit in "Death in Venice," or costumes of Romy Schneider and Helmut Berger in "Ludwig."
He began to work for opera with Visconti Bellissima, which included "La Sonnambula" by Bellini. Staring Maria Callas at La Scala in Milano,1955.
